TRACKSIDE
NEWS
Today’s
young drivers start racing at age ‘5’ and up to age ‘17’ they’re on the
tracks, getting in thousands of laps, and hundreds of races in, AKA seat
time. . .
But
they’re still missing something, these drivers are not receiving as much
public exposure and gaining the extremely important experience of learning
to work with the media, at some point parent’s should come to the
realization, the media can be your ‘Kids’ Best Friend, providing you
understand what the media really needs, as well as what the big leagues in
racing will expect from you ‘Kid’ driver, as they climb through the ranks .
. .
Looking forward to assisting you
with your 'Kids' on the kigi radio show, have questions? Call Ambassador

'Kart Racing' Opens With Anticipation at East Bay
Raceway, Tampa Florida
EAST BAY RACEWAY
PARK, obviously did their research, the idea of providing Kart Events on
Friday Nights, since a majority of the Kart Tracks run 'Dirt' on Saturday,
and 'Asphalt' on Sundays, brought kudos, from the families who already race
cars on Saturday nights on the big-track, as the new Kart Racing Season was
set to begin on 02.21.03 it turned out to be a wash-out literally, why,
because no thanks to Mother 'Nature' it rained...
The next race wouldn't take place until March, the
proposed schedule called for racing every other Friday, & only time would
tell, if the Kart Racers could hold out that long between races, as the
summer months began, Mother 'Nature' surely tried her best to saturate the
track on several occasions, causing even more frustrations, among the
drivers & teams, leading management of E. B. R. P. to make the schedule
for the remaining season, every Friday Night!
No sad faces have been seen since the
announcement... So as racers circulate the good news, among themselves, as
well as to any others, who may not be aware of the additional race dates,
as every racer will agree, 'if your into racing, you'll go to a race seven
days a week, if you could!
'Gangster' MOB Taking Control
of Kart Racing at East Bay, Tampa Florida
The words out, this MOB of "gangsters" are putting the pressure on, no
they are not asking for extortion money, they're just looking to collect
their fair share of the Trophies...
Tim
Simmons of Ruskin, Florida was first introduced to Karts at
Ambassador Racing School, he's been racing a 'Gangster' sprint chassis at
E. B. R. P.. Simmons who has had a taste of winning on the asphalt, earned
a Championship title, in his 1st year of oval asphalt racing, he also
practices between races at the Ambassador Track, maybe that's why he's
looking pretty much at home on the dirt track as well.
As of 08.22.03- 5th in Stock-Light point
standings
Robby Hoffman of Keysville, Florida, has also
experienced top three finishes on the asphalt, with a limited amount of
appearances, in his first year of racing, has returned to racing, only now
he's on the dirt, at E. B. R. P., he too races a 'Gangster' sprint
chassis, & practices at Ambassador. As
of 08.22.03- 3rd in Stock Medium, & 6th in Stock Heavy class points
standings.
Tyler Machall of Plant City,
Florida, having began his racing career in 2003, is also on a 'Gangster',
and making great progress on the dirt, in the Junior Champ Class.
As of 08.22.03- is 2nd in the points
standings.
Mitchell Stevens
of Riverview, Florida, races at both
ends of the spectrum, on Sundays, with the T. B. Q. M. Club, in a
Quarter-Midget, and on Fridays, a 'Gangster' Junior Champ.
As of 08.22.03- is 5th in the points
standings.
J. R. Garcia III
of Balm, Florida, started out in Stock Medium, on a 'Gangster' sprint.
As of 08.22.03- is 2nd in the
points standings. He tried his
luck, weighed in over at the scales, to prove his point in the Stock-Light
class,
has three races in this class, and
As of 08.22.03- is 9th in the points
standings. Just when you
thought he would have had his fill of racing, he pulls out the 'Gangster'
Champ Kart, late in the season, & drives three races in a row, and wins!
While everyone anxiously awaits the East Bay Raceway web-site to be
updated, & current point standings to be posted, feel free to check out
their stats at:
