WORLD FORMULA @ AMBASSADOR RACING / SCHOOL,

WHERE IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RACING! . . .

Balm, Florida- Ambassador Racing / School recently announced publicly it's determination to continue to provide affordable racing options to those on the west coast of Florida with the announcement of the Briggs & Stratton 'World Formula' OHV engine having been approved, to show their continuous support of  'Quarter Midget' Racing for Kids programs, they are offering what appears to be the best deal around for those who do want to enter the newest exhibition class offered in QMA competitions. While it will be a new class in 2005 with many taking place at various clubs, those familiar with the quality of the Briggs & Stratton products will not hesitate to get on board.

Ray Garcia, known as the mechanical 'Beast-Master' has over 25+ years in motor-sports and engine building, having worked with both "Honda' & Briggs' in QM & Karting platforms, as well as full scale race car engines. While he is best known for his honesty, his most current interest revolves around the 'Formula' class, and commented, "This is what has been missing in QM racing, throttle response, drivers are racing 1/4 scaled race cars, unlike Karts, the two are like night and day, when most QM racers move on to full size cars, they have many years experience in how the cars react, regardless of size. This is why most do excel in their continuance of racing. Our 'Formula program, is very reasonable, and although we are located in Florida, shipping cost bear little to no factor in the final pricing to the racing families, we have always had concerns with the over pricing the racing industry has had over the years, and while the manufacturers do their best to keep these costs down, unfortunately it is the start-up racing families who need assistance the most, many often have but one car, placing limitations as to how much additional experience a driver can gain, over a shorter period of time, and against those who have more cars, and run more class divisions.

Currently we are working with the 'Hansen' after-market gear-box. Our testing involved many other options in an attempt to keep the product, factory stock by utilizing the B& S parts that were available, but at this time it doesn't appear to provide what is needed for this class. Perhaps in the very near future, as the demand for the product grows, and this class takes off in popularity, Briggs & Stratton will find a means to fulfill the need of the consumer, and at the same time keep this class as a pure-box stock class, it only makes sense, many of the larger forms of racing series have turned to a sealed box-stock engine. This eliminates much of the additional cost for the racer who in perhaps another series could spend up to hundreds of  thousands of dollars to have an engine built, for their weekly events.

There is an age old saying, that racer's often hear, 'If it sounds too good to be true, it usually isn't that good of a deal' But unlike that saying, Ambassador Racing / School is offering a 'GREAT' deal, with no strings attached, in this day and age, it is difficult for some to understand that the concept still exists round the race tracks of America, "It's All About The Racing!" With regards to the 'World Formula', Ray prefers to consult on an individual bases, since many 'HONDA' owners are unfamiliar with the 'Briggs & Stratton' product line and he would rather take the time to answer any/all questions one may have about the engine personally, leaving no rock un-turned. We not only educate driver's, we educate the entire racing family, and since we ourselves have been involved in and continue to be involved in racing ourselves, 24/7/365, when we say, "It's All About The Racing" we really mean it, because we live, sleep, eat, drink, and breathe it!

So if your ready to take on the 'WORLD' and need further information do not hesitate to contact Ray, as he is easily accessible by calling 813.634.1076, there is a voice messaging service available, and all inquiries are returned ASAP.

OUT TO CAPTURE THE WORLD? ONLY ONE CAN OFFER RACERS THE FORMULA

Balm, Florida- With the recent approval of the Briggs & Stratton 'WORLD FORMULA' OHV engine by  QMA National, the heated excitement for the 2005 race season in Florida, is rising as quickly as the 'Sun-Shines' over QMA Region '13' especially in 'Tampa Bay'. The QMA Club '52' whose Home Track is located at Ambassador Racing School is ready to take on the 'WORLD'.

The Ambassador Racing staff has many years experience building various types of race engines, and Racing Karts with Briggs & Stratton engines, although they have equal experience with Honda Racing engines, introducing to, working with, and educating the families who have predominately been Honda orientated about the 'Formula' that will conquer the 'World' of racing as Quarter Midget Racers have known it, will be simple.

The powerful Briggs & Stratton 'WORLD FORMULA' engine, will be an exhibition class in 2005, it will be offered in Florida, at all Club tracks. This class will offer drivers the opportunity to learn throttle response, gain the experience of lifting in the corners, and how to keep the power to the ground.

The excitement the Briggs & Stratton 'WORLD FORMULA' engine is bringing to both Quarter Midgets and Race Kart families alike is simple, 'MORE POWER' - 'LESS EXPENSE'...

Many Racing Families are taking heed to the age old advice of the pro's, who have said time and time again, the more seat time, racing experience, a young driver can gain, while coming up through the ranks, the better. This does not mean race in only one vehicle, this means a young racer should if at all possible drive various types of vehicles, 'diversity' is the key to getting there faster.

With this many Kart Racer's are adapting to an involvement in both Karts and Midgets, chasing titles at age five will not hold an impact on a drivers resume' at 18 or twenty something, it only shows that when and how you raced, by the time your young driver is able to get behind the wheel of a full size race vehicle sporting 750+ hp under the hood, they had better have a good understanding, and thousands of thousands of laps, races, in various vehicles, venues, etc. in order to succeed against the unwavering competition.

Some race for the fun of it, while others will be seen somewhere at any given time, racing for a Life-time, and conquering the world of racing...

DIFFERENCES OFTEN BRING VERSATILITY TO YOUNG DRIVERS

Balm, Florida- Quarter Midget Racing has come along way from 'Back in the Good Old Days' in 1998, as each season has passed, more families are becoming more familiar with 'What a Quarter Midget' really is, Quarter Midget's are a scaled down version of a full sized race car just as the name implies.

The Tampa Bay Club continues to Grow each season, the quality of racing competition is the biggest drawing card they offer. Some drivers have gained numerous Championship titles per season with 14 classes and divisions to grow up and race in for ages 5 to 17.

How QM racing differs from Racing Kart competitions, is simple, it is another choice of race vehicle with which young drivers can gain experience from. Unlike Race Karts that began with one size fits all, and over the years has made changes to fit the younger drivers sizes.

Another difference between Racing Karts and Midgets, is that Midgets are race cars, with full suspension, unlike the Kart, a young driver will soon learn how a race car feels, Karts have a completely different chassis, structural design, that provides just as great a learning, and racing experience for a young driver, as well as for adults.

Quarter Midget Racing has always been, just for kids. There are also half-midgets, and modifications that can be made to the engines for the upper classes to reach several times the stock horse power (as much as 10,000 rpm's) as that the younger drivers begin with.

While engine manufacturers such as Honda, Continental, Deco, and Briggs & Stratton have been approved for QMA racing events. The Honda engines have dominated the Quarter Midget world for many years, just as Briggs & Stratton has dominated in Racing Kart competitions.

Versatility, and choices, the ultimate answer for those who enjoy a good competitive challenge. Kart or Midgets, some choose one or the other, while real racers often find time to race both.

2003

GET YOUR ENGINES STARTED, RACE INTO THE FUTURE

Balm, Florida- Back when the first Midget car owners gathered in the Bay area, they wanted their club to become one of the best family activities in Tampa. After all this is one club that compared to other forms of sports, is exclusive, promoting positive racing for kid drivers ages 5-16.

At the time, an unfortunate loss of the use of their Track facilities was driven by property owners selling out, making way for development in the city of Tampa, and building a new facility appeared hopeless.

So as the club members parted their ways, for various reasons, there remained but a handful to keep the sport of racing for kids alive on the west coast. Mr. Clark at that time was the club president, he found a means with which to reach the public in hopes someone could help the club. The small photo appeared but once in the Tampa Tribune.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Racing had opened a School with hopes of reaching families with kids who wanted to race, a place where the kid drivers could gain instruction in driving Karts. Unaware that Midget Racing existed in the bay area, unknowingly the two, were destined to come together.

Ambassador contacted Mr. Clark, extended an offer they couldn't refuse, utilize the track, and work together to grow the sport, for the sake of the kids. That was five years ago, since then, the club has grown, the midget race cars are growing rapidly in popularity, the kids are putting on great performances, and their having a blast!

2003, looks bright, this year the club will find itself with more members, the program is overseen by these families, they gladly volunteer, they put forth a commitment that has not been seen in motor sports for years. Compared to Kart 14 years ago, who began with many family racing clubs, most clubs have fallen to the wayside, due to lack of, [1] not owning their tracks, and [2] tracks not being able to afford them the use of the facilities at no charge. While Ambassador has provided and will continue to do so, they do not charge the club for the use of the facilities.

The club is an independent organization. While many of the costs of improvements, and maintenance to the facility is a constant  cost on the part of Ambassador, when the club can, members do their share to offer assistance, because they all have a common goal, for everyone to enjoy themselves.

The QMA, continues to be the National Sanctioning race body overseeing the rules & regulations for QM clubs such as the TBQM, each QM club's growth is independent, TBQM is growing due to the fact, they have families who care about not only the sport, but each other, and welcome new members with open arms.

Sportsmanship, among members of this club are at the highest level, although these drivers are not allowed to run for money, and are considered amateur in status, they can place many professionals at shame merely by their examples of sportsmanship.

These drivers, their families, are unique, they are bringing back the good old days, when racing your fellow competitors fair and square, meant more than winning at all costs. It's wonderful to watch these young drivers, their families, still friends, even after a race, and say to their buddies, "you had a good race today, congratulations!"

In 2003, the club will hold races, on Sundays, twice a month, there is a mandatory  annual membership fee of $150.00 which $75.00 goes to the National QMA Office, and $75.00 stays within the TBQM Club account for expenses.

The cost of racing is relatively inexpensive when it comes to entries, from $10.00 to $15.00, with no additional costs for pit-passes as with Karts, no pit reservation fees, spectators are free, the club is a non-profit organization, they sustain their own club costs for insurance, awards are obtained through sponsorships and donations.

Currently, the club has reviewed their proposed budget for 2003, and have found the need for certain equipment to expedite the races, and improvements in hopes of achieving approval from the Regional & National level to hold a state race which will bring further funding to the clubs budget, all of this is in the making, and from the looks of the positive action taking place, it will be a good year.

For the most enjoyable day a spectator can have at any race track, this is the place to be, after all, it's FREE to cheer on these drivers, and their worth every bit of your shared enthusiasm because as you watch these drivers today, you may find yourself watching them on major televised races in the future!
